Minutes of the board of trustees/directors of the three state schools or institutions located in Faribault: the School for the Deaf, School for the Blind (Braille and Sight-Saving School), and School for the Feeble-Minded (Faribault State School and Hospital). The minutes record the activities of the board in organizing the three eventually separate institutions; setting terms of admission and resolving special cases; appointing superintendents and other employees and fixing salaries; authorizing purchases; soliciting and accepting bids; auditing bills; and receiving and reviewing reports of the superintendents.
